Still the rollout of the May 2020 Update started last week has not been completed (there is a way to force it) that already Microsoft got to work on the next updates to be sent to Windows 10: if we have already talked about 20H2 arriving by autumn, stating that it will be more of a service pack, the time has come to look further with a first clue about the package 21H1.
Windows 10: the 21H1 “Iron” update
According to the leaked information, the code name chosen to identify it is Iron. Starting from the second half of June, a first build (20133.1000) should be made available to the Insiders present in the Fast Ring so as to start collecting the feedback necessary for the improvement of the code. However, it is still too early to say what the new features will be, but the interface is likely to receive important changes also in consideration of the arrival of the 10X version of the platform.
The code name attributed by the Redmond group to 20H2 Windows 10 which will debut in the fall is instead Manganese. It will contain general improvements in terms of performance and stability, continuing on the path taken by Microsoft for almost a couple of years now, which alternates every six months a full-bodied update with unpublished features to another lighter. A decision made following the unsuccessful distribution of the October 2018 Update which for several users has caused serious problems such as the accidental deletion of files and documents from the hard disk.
