Last week the Irish Daily Mail triumphantly reported:
"THE ease with which illegal drugs can be bought online is revealed today in an Irish Daily Mail undercover operation. Our reporter was able to click on a website, send an email and a short time later, pay a small-time dealer €50 for three grams of marijuana on a busy Dublin street."
Shocking stuff I'm sure you'll agree.
That is until you read the Irish Independent's gleeful follow up to this news:
"Last Monday, the Irish Daily Mail claimed to have paid €50 for three grams of marijuana from a man on a city street... They then handed over the two plastic bags to a gardai at a city station. However...following analysis, the substance was nothing more offensive than kitchen herbs."
Still, hats off to the Irish Daily Mail for blowing wide open this shocking online trade in kitchen herbs with a street value of €16,500 per kilo.
Man, that must be some gooood oregano.
