The Daily Mail has joined other tabloids in condemning the publication of photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William on holiday in Mustique. It has branded one Italian magazine "tawdry" for breaching the privacy of the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge and publishing pictures of her in a bikini.
It has been reported that the photos were taken by a member of the public on a public beach.
So not like this long lens effort, bought by the Daily Mail in 2009, of a bikini-clad Kate Middelton and Prince William holidaying in Mustique.
Perhaps it's the fact Kate is pregnant now that makes it so much worse in the eyes of the Daily Mail. But then, in common with other papers crying foul over the latest photos of Kate, the Mail is certainly no stranger to publishing 'bump and bikini' photos of other celebrities...
What's more, among an array of 'bump and bikini' photos of Coleen Rooney published today, the Mail informs us:
"[Coleen's] family have been spending quality time together in the Caribbean as they come to terms with the loss of Coleen's sister Rosie... Following Rosie's funeral, Coleen decided to treat her parents to a trip to the island ...for some quiet time to grieve."
I wonder if photographers get extra for invading "some quiet time to grieve" in pursuit of those must-have bump and bikini photos?

The hypocrisy from The Mail here is actually quite staggering, it's as if they don't let the journos who write it see the rest of the rag

I suspect there's a 'publish no preggo shots and you can have loads of nice, posed, close up photos when the baby's arrived' type deal going on
