One of my favourite moments was the news presenter on BBC News 24 having to continue talking almost constantly for 3 hours and coming up with gems like, 'This is the last thing a helicopter pilot would want to happen.'

Nice post Will, the only point I'd quibble about would be the terrorism one - yes, there's always a lot of "asking questions to "officially rule stuff out"" - but given the crash was around the corner (yards) from SIS HQ, legitimate to be initially asking that question! ;-)
